Damien Rice's last studio album, 9, came out eight years ago. For fans who can't wait until Nov. 10 when his follow-up, My Favourite Faded Fantasy, is released, the whole album is currently streaming over at NPR.

Rice got some help from Rick Rubin with Fantasy, and after hearing the three previously released singles, it's shaping up be one hell of an album. "But My Favourite Faded Fantasy moves Rice's sound only in matters of degree: It picks up where he left off, give or take eight years of soul-searching, and looks at where he's been with a mixture of hunger and regret. As always, introspection suits him," NPR wrote about the effort.

In a recent video about the record, see below, Rice describes how he took a chance on working with Rubin because he thought he'd be comfortable being open with the famous producer. "It was almost more of the mystery of him that drew me to him," Rice says. "It was just like a feeling that he was the guy. A lot of it was training at the beginning - learning how to walk again. And then it started to flow."

Rice has so far shared the title track, "I Don't Want to Change You" and "The Greatest Bastard." The album's full tracklist can be seen below.
