Pearl Jam has released the music video for their second single, "Sirens," off the upcoming studio album "Lightning Bolt."

Danny Clinch, who directed the band's 2007 concert film, "Immagine in Cornice," directed the new video. It shows the band playing the song on a dimly lit stage with a red light flashing (like it would on a police car when the sirens go off). It is a barebones clip with nothing particularly symbolic or storytelling other than the music itself.

"Sirens" is a gentle-yet-heart-wrenching ballad that differs greatly from the punchy, high-energy "Mind Your Manners." However, Eddie Vedder's voice rings strong throughout the piece. Producer Brendan O'Brien told Billboard recently that Vedder "sings his ass off on this record," and that "Sirens" is "one of the best songs they've ever written."

"Lightning Bolt," the band's tenth studio album, is due out Oct. 15. The group hits the road for a North American fall tour starting Oct. 11.
