RL Grime's debut artist album Void was a masterful display of creativity. The American producer showed that artists can and should explore outside their genres on full-length LPs to vary their sound. The trap-leaning moniker of Henry Steinway, RL Grime showed he was more than just a trap producer. He has released a second music video from the album, the first for the lead single "Core" and the second out now via RL Grime's YouTube channel, for his collaboration alongside Djemba Djemba: "Valhalla."

The video for "Valhalla" continues the story that started in "Core." In "Core," we are thrust into an animated world where the "Void Team," a group of helicopters, are off to contain some unknown threat from a large hole in the ocean. The ominous confrontation results in the fiery destruction of the Void Team helicopters.

"Valhalla," the hall of the dead in Norse mythology, sees the battle continue against this same threat, now known as "the carrier." The video starts with a large squadron of Void Team helicopters flying in the early morning toward a giant crater in the desert. A fleet of tanks and B52 stealth bombers accompanies the helicopters, but come up against the energy of the carrier as it blacks out the night and unleashes its Void energy on the mechanized force poised against it.

The videos are pretty fascinating to watch alongside the music with how they create a story that could carry for the whole album. After just two videos, there is still a lot to be learned about this Void energy. It would appear that RL Grime has a full album, or close to it, of music videos in store for fans.

Stay tuned for the next video to see what happens with the career and what is going to happen in this futuristic world. Head to his Facebook to see where the Void Tour will land near you.
