It's been 20 years since Snoop Dogg's debut LP Doggystyle was released on Nov. 23, 1993 and sold 800,000 copies in the first week. This was the first time an artist made the Billboard 200 album charts at #1 with their initial record. But apparently, even though so many other people were listening to it, Snoop never took the time to listen to the entire record all the way through.

The classic rap album, featuring songs like "Gin and Juice" and "Who Am I? (What's My Name)," has currently sold more than 4 million copies in the U.S., according to the RIAA. While promoting his next project 7 Days of Funk, he took some time to talk to MTV.

"I don't believe I've ever listened to the whole album and I'm being honest with you," Snoop said. "I ain't never listen to Doggystyle top to bottom. I may have listened to songs, but I've never listened to it."

That's pretty surprising. But it doesn't mean he hasn't grown from and since the release of Doggystyle.

"Back then it meant a lot because it was being able to stand on my own two feet and put out a project for the first and to actually be heard and seen for who I am individually," he said. "Now what it means, it's an accomplishment. Looking back at it, it was very well put together, it was standards, it showed me the way to do it, the only way to do it."

Chances are Snoop will not refrain from celebrating the 20th anniversary of his debut album, not that he hasn't been partying sufficiently everyday for the past 20 years anyway.
