Vampire Weekend is playing a secret show in New York City on Tuesday, December 10th at 8 p.m. Eastern. It's part of the Live from the Artists Den series that later airs on Public Television. To be a lucky ticket holder you enter the lottery here on the Artists Den website. So long as you're 21 years or older, you have a shot at being selected from the random drawing.

Vampire Weekend has recently been in the news for contributing artwork comissioned by FBi, the Australian Radio Station. It's for the Brush With Fame fundraiser and the auction goes until today. (They join other big acts Florence and the Machine, Animal Collective, Dirty Projectors, Iggy & The Stooges and more.)

Frontman Ezra Koenig recently was defending the word of the year: "selfie." Specifically his stance: "I'm definitely pro-selfie...I think that anybody who's anti-selfie is really just a hater," Koenig said. Musically, the band has had a big year in general, releasing their third full-length album, Modern Vampires of the City. It hit number one on the Billboard 200 and received widespread positive reception from music critics and fans alike.

Past shows this season have included singer/songwriter (and pianist) Sara Bareilles and kicked off with Sheryl Crow. They're now in season 7. The Artists Den has the unique record of hosting shows all around the country in intimate (sometimes exotic!) locations. Last season ended with an explosive performance from Imagine Dragons.
