Last month, newcomer Tink dropped the single "Ratchet Commandments" and has her new album Think Tink on the way. In a new interview with Sway Calloway, the now 20-year-old artist revealed that she plans to drop the debut effort sometime in July.

When asked about what she thought about Timbaland's speech at SXSW, when he said that Aaliyah came to him in a dream calling Tink the next one, she explained that he didn't mean she was the next Aaliyah and that she doesn't feel pressure to live up to the late R&B singer.

"Tim has these conversations with me often. We're both Pisces so when he gets a vibe he just talks and talks about it, he doesn't hold back," she told Sway. "So I had honestly heard him tell me this before, so it wasn't as big a shock as it was to the world. To be clear, Tim never said she's the next Aaliyah. He never said that. There will never be another Aaliyah, period, point blank. Aaliyah is Aaliyah, her legacy will live forever. So what Tim basically was saying is that Aaliyah gave him confirmation that this is going to be something. So for me it was just like, yeah Tim does feel like that. He's passionate about it. You can't work with people who aren't passionate. It's just not the same. I felt proud. It's not pressure. It's more so like this is confirmation, like that sign."

When asked about where she sees herself in five years, Tink said she hopes to be able to give back to her community.

"I always wanted to take my music and travel the world with it. I also really want to start giving back. In five years I want to have like different programs for like performing arts in schools," she said. "I know in Chicago we got the sports, we got great athletes, the basketball players, but there's so much talent in Chicago as far as dancing and singing. When I was coming up we didn't have a lot of that. We made our groups in our home. Our dance groups and our singing groups were made on the couch. So I want to open up different programs and I even want to write a screenplay for film. I have so many different stories in my head that I just want to see on TV that I know I can relate to."

When she dropped "Ratchet Commandments," some people criticized her for slut shaming. However, she said her point was more to call this sort of behavior to people's attention so that they can become better people.

"For the most part I wanted people to understand that this is not me like yelling or looking down on people, it's more so making sure people are aware. I think a lot of people, we act the way we act because we don't know," he explained. "And if you know better, than you're supposed to do better, right? So for the most part I want people to understand that I was the same person that I was talking about a couple years ago. Like this is not just me bashing people. This is more so, 'Look y'all we gotta really do better.' I want people to just relate to what I'm saying. Don't be shy. Don't be scared to say you right."

She also confirmed that a special guest will be featured on the album: longtime Timbaland collaborator Missy Elliott.

"When I spoke to Missy, it was like I was talking to a big sister," she said of her experience meeting the veteran femcee. "She kinda just wraps her arms around me. It was just like a big sister relationship. She told me to keep my head up and stay strong."

When she was made to feel bad for wearing braids, Missy told Tink: "You have your own style, be unique, don't be afraid. They'll hate it at first, but then they'll love it."

Elsewhere in the interview, Tink talks about how her family is handling this newfound fame, how it has affected her relationships with friends, and how she'd love to eventually collaborate with Drake.
