Once Bruce Jenner finally decided to begin living the life he has always wanted for himself, the changes were certainly not going to be limited to just his appearance. While all the focus has been on his physical transformation over the last year, Jenner has also had the overwhelming task of separating himself from the money-making machine that is the Kardashians. While Jenner was famous and worth a mint long before he ever met Kris Jenner, they became a brand and it is one the Olympic champion is now taking huge steps to distance himself from. The first major step Jenner has taken is hiring his own publicist, Alan Nierob, ahead of his debut as a woman.

The timing could not be better, since Jenner's exclusive interview about his transformation is set to air April 24 and it is thought to be a life-changing move on his part. We already know he is in the process of beginning to live his life as a woman, one that is not at all connected to the Kardashians.

"His brand has been diluted and controlled by the Kardashians, and all of the associations that go with that is what he's breaking from. And one of those associations is E!. It's all of those pieces where he's basically saying, 'I am no longer in the shadow of that brand. I am taking control of this brand now.' I think he's doing it in a really smart way," explained an insider.

Do you think it is a wise move on Jenner's part to hire a new team to help promote him now? How do you think his interview with Diane Sawyer is actually going to sit with the general public? Do you think he is going to need a publicist to fight a bit of a battle for him, or will people be more accepting of his transition once he explains things for himself?
