The last few months have been ripe with announcements of exclusive vinyl records and packages that'll be available come Record Store Day on April 19. The most exciting new vinyl release won't be available at your local record shop next month however: Cult hip-hop crew Turquoise Jeep have announced that four of the collective's hit tracks will be available on a limited edition 12" record available via turquoisej.com

The tracks featured on the compilation will include some of Flynt Flossy and Yung Humma's best work—"Smang It," "Fried or Fertilized" and "Did I Mention That I Like To Dance"—as well as Slick Mahony's "Sex Syrup." Every aforementioned track might not have found its way to your local Top 40 radio station, but their respective music videos are now viral legends on YouTube.

This isn't momentous just because it's Turquoise Jeep's first vinyl release: It's the group's first physical release of any sort. The collective released a full record during 2010—titled Keep The Jeep Ridin—but it was only available as a digital download and not a CD. The vinyl release for these four tracks is probably a wise move on the group's part, as many of Turquoise Jeep's most avid supporters come from that music demographic that prefers vinyl.

One aspect of the release that isn't referenced on the Jeep's website is what color the vinyl will be. Typically, it's safe to assume that records are the standard black unless otherwise noted. For a group that puts so much emphasis on a single shade of blue, it's understandable to wonder if the record will come in a similar tone.
