Ansolo, known to movie-goers by his real name Ansel Elgort, has released his new single "To Life" featuring New York City brass trio Too Many Zooz via Island Records.

The single is the latest evolution in a quick, but measured rise for the DJ, producer moniker of Elgort. As part of a recent signing to Island Records, Ansolo is prepping a four track EP for release at some point soon.

The new tune from Elgort is part of his mission to bring back the groove, a message echoed by others like Kryder and Tom Staar. The horns from Too Many Zooz give the track a raw, organic feel, while Ansolo crafts a thumping bass line and a pitched synth lead to match the horns.

The track has been released with accompanying video with live footage from recent Ansolo performances at festivals, clubs and concert halls. You will see a lot of screaming chicks in the front row (not much of a change from his normal life as an actor), Elgort jumping around behind the decks and lots of hands in the air moments.

Last week Ansolo announced that he signed a record deal with Island Records. It will net a four track EP he is wrapping up now with some topliners.

This is the first solo producer original Elgort has released (though Too Many Zooz could count as a collab). To date he has only done collaborations with the likes of Tom Staar, Special Features, Jerm and Pierce Fulton, which he formed the duo Shirts & Skins. He has done plenty of remixes, but no solo originals yet. That is all about to change and "To Life" is the beginning.
