Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder has been a longtime fan of the Chicago Cubs, and recently he expressed disappointment at possibly having to miss seeing his favorite team play in the 2015 World Series due to his band's upcoming South American tour.  As a result, he's considering no longer touring in October because he wants to see the Cubs play in the future.

According to an article in Rolling Stone, the singer is seriously considering avoiding all future October tour dates while his team is still hot. Vedder told Fox Sports Midwest on Monday before The Cubs' recent win that, "It's been a surprise... we're touring and I have to leave before the World Series, we go down to South America. All I'm saying is that, the next few years, we're not going to play in October. This year I didn't think I'd have to worry about it!" During the brief clip, Vedder speaks about his scheduling conflict while putting things into perspective, "I hope we go to the World Series and I hope I miss the games... it'd be a good problem to have."

The Cubs will go on to face the winner of the NLDS, meaning they'd either be going against the New York Mets or the Los Angeles Dodgers. If they win this next series, they would be advancing to their first World Series since 1945 (that's an even longer drought than The Mets!). The World Series is slated to kick off on October 27th while Vedder is due in South America to get ready for the tour's first show in Santiago, Chile on November 4th.

Not only has Vedder sung "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the 7th-inning-stretch of many home games at Wrigley Field, Vedder recently brought the entire team onstage during Pearl Jam's set at the annual Hot Stove Cool Music benefit show, which took place at Chicago's The Metro.
