It was an unlikely pairing when the current Queen of mood-riddled pop, Tove Lo, joined lighter and bubblier persona, Taylor Swift, onstage in Atlanta this past Friday night (Oct. 24) for a rendition of her smash hit, "Talking Body." The single, a pop tune that reached No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100, was off of Tove Lo's debut 2014 album, Queen of the Clouds.

The unusual duo worked surprisingly well onstage and surprised everyone in the audience. The Swedish pop stars tights, studded leather jacket and Doc Marten's ensemble worked well next to Swift's sparkly fringed blue leotard and heels and their voices blended nicely together while they sang out the lyrics to the smash single.

"Everyone knew every word, and she KILLED IT!!" Swift wrote on Instagram shortly after the performance.

According to The Huffington Post Tove Lo replied with "UNREAL. @taylorswift I can't thank you and your fans enough for this night. Playing for 56,000 people (!!!!) was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I will never forget this," on Instagram.

Tove Lo has been promoting her Queen of the Clouds album on a North American tour that has included festivals like Firefly, Bonnaroo and Lollapalooza. She also hit major musical hot spots Los Angeles, Seattle, Chicago, Boston and New York on the tour which ran from the end of last month (Sept. 28) to the end of October (Oct. 21). Tove Lo also just released a gruelingly introspective music video for her latest single off of Queen of the Clouds entitled "Moments."

Tove Lo was only the latest of Swift's surprise celebrity guests during her tour for latest album 1989. The reigning pop queen has also had country singer Miranda Lambert, UK electro-pop sensation Ellie Goulding, Charli XCX and more join her onstage. The last date of Swift's tour is next week (Oct. 31) and she will then move overseas to perform shows in China and Australia stretching through mid-December.
