Adele has been taking the world by storm and breaking record after record with her latest hit single "Hello." She recently released her third studio album, 25, made an appearance on Saturday Night Live and has stopped at multiple morning shows to promote the album. Moreover, she has even been trekking her way through the late night circuit. And now, the singer is in talks to headline Glastonbury Festival 2016.

The 27-year-old "When We Were Young" singer recently admitted that she'd never play Worthy Farm due her intimidation of the large crowds the festival draws in. "I think I have made myself pretty clear on Glastonbury," she explained, NME notes. "The crowds are too big – I don't know if I could do it."

Martin Elbourne, responsible for booking Glastonbury talent, revealed that their entering the final stages of having Adele perform on the Pyramid stage. "There's lots of talk about Adele and it's in there in the mix," Elbourne admitted to Loaded. "Adele is in a situation in her career where frankly she can do whatever the hell she likes. Hopefully it will happen and it still needs to be confirmed. She's not into festivals but obviously, every promoter in the world wants to get her so fingers crossed, we are hoping it's going to happen."

Furthermore, Elbourne established that the two John Peel stage headliners have been booked and that Grimes will take the stage at 2016's concert. Fellow booker Emily Eavis detailed that Adele sat at the top of their Glastonbury "wish list" ever since 2012.

This year, the "Chasing Pavements" singer attended the festival solely as a fan trying to enjoy her own favorite artists. "I went this year to watch Kayne [West] and I literally just crapped my pants on the size of the audience. It was pretty insane."

She continued to detail the filthy environment that comes fom a three-day festival, joking that those in the front row "always do a poo and a pee so they don't lose their spot."

As of late, Adele announced her very first tour in about 5 years with an extensive string of gigs across Europe.
