Above & Beyond's label Anjunabeats has unveiled the 12 edition of its annual compilation that showcases talent from all corners of electronic music and mixes them into a double album. Among those who have tracks on the album are of course label dons, Above & Beyond, their long dormant side project Oceanlab, Yotto, Andrew Bayer, Lane 8, Sunny Lax, Jason Ross, Grum and many more.
The 35-track compilation builds much like the seminal UK trance trio would want it to - with some deeper, more progressive tunes at the beginning, giving way to more uplifting, traditional sounding Anjunabeats songs that fill a room.
There is a nice mix of brand new tunes and some tracks that have been recently released on Anjunabeats like Sunny Lax's bomb "Enceladus." They keep some of the older tracks fresh with some remixes by the likes of Yotto, Lane 8 and Cubicolor, who hold it down for the sister label Anjunadeep.
Andrew Bayer is the star of the show with three songs included, but label favorites ilan Bluestone and Jason Ross, who will join Bayer on the upcoming Anjunabeats tour across North America also have a pair of inclusions on the double CD.
