Rick Rubin and Kanye West are back at it working on a follow-up to Yeezus.

NME reports that Rubin made the confirmation during an interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe

The interview will be broadcast in four parts (Monday - Thursday) next week.

During the interview, Rubin reflected on the process of putting the Yeezus album together and "looking at vocal ideas" for the new release.

"He originally came over and said 'I wanna come play you my new album' and I thought we'd be listening to a finished album," Rubin said. "Then we listened to about three hours of music, most of which didn't have vocals, and at the end I was like 'wow, so what's it gonna be?' I'm thinking it's a year away and he was like 'well, I'm putting it out in like 5-6 weeks'."

The legendary producer also spoke on West's work ethic.

"It was just a funny conversation because it was completely normal to him, it's just the way he works... today, Kanye West is coming in and we're starting looking at vocal ideas for things for the next album."

The site also reports that Q-Tip previously revealed that he is working on the new Kanye West album with Rubin.

The full interview with Rick Rubin will be available on the BBC iPlayer from 7pm on Monday, June 16 and broadcast in four parts (Monday-Thursday) on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show.
