Many fans have been waiting for "Linkin Park" to reunite with each other to produce more music and perform for their supporters. More recently, lead vocalist Mike Shinoda revealed the band's future during one of his live streams; are they coming back anytime soon?

Sad news for avid listeners, it appears that fans won't be getting new music and tours anytime soon as the singer gave an update on their setup.

In a Twitch session, Shinoda said he and his bandmates, Rob Bourdon, Brad Delson, Dave Farrell, and Joe Hahn, only talk to each other every few weeks.

He adds, "there's no tours, there's no music, there's no albums in the pipeline. Okay, so let me just tell you that. So just keep in your minds that that is not happening." (via 102.7 KIIS FM)

The singer said that's all the information he can reveal because whenever he shares something about the band, their fans "start up the hype train," and they don't like it because their supporters will only disappoint themselves.

This isn't the first time Shinoda addressed the band's future after former bandmate Chester Bennington died in 2017.

In 2021, reports circulated that the band would perform with their late member via a hologram.

The singer shut down the idea, saying it's "awful."

For the band's reunion tour, Shinoda said he's physically okay going on tour, and he hopes that it won't change anytime soon, but it's not the perfect time for them because they don't have the focus on it.

"We don't have the math worked out. And I don't mean that by financially math, I mean that like emotional and creative math," he added.

The band went on a hiatus since Bennington died by suicide in July 2017.

Before they took a break, the band was one of the best-selling bands of the 21st century and was once the world's best-selling music act, having sold over 100 million records globally.

They bagged numerous nods from prestigious award-giving bodies like the Grammys, MTV Video Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, World Music Awards, and many more.

Members Shinoda, Bourdon, and Brad Delson founded "Linkin Park" after attending Agoura High School. They decided to take their music skills seriously, which led them to team up with Joe Hahn, Dave Farrell, and Mark Wakefield.
