Jani Lane remains in his fans and colleagues' hearts 11 years after his death.

Warrant, like a few bands in the US, saw its members come and go. Since 1984, it has been savoring success starting in 1988 when it signed a contract with Columbia Records.

Its lead singer, however, decided to leave in the 2000s amid the band's highs and lows. But the members dealt with the most heartbreaking news when Lane died years after splitting from them.

Aug. 11, 2022 marked his 11th death anniversary. As fans continue to feel the pain of his passing, they decided to pay tribute to the musician again through heartfelt posts.

One fan said, "Today we remember Jani Lane who died 11 years ago today he was an amazing singer and songwriter R.I.P beautiful Angel you will be missed gone but never forgotten."

How Did Warrant's Jani Lane Die?

Eleven years ago, Lane was found dead in a motel outside the Los Angeles area.

Los Angeles County coroner's office determined months later that the former lead vocalist of Warrant died of alcohol poisoning. City News Service, per CBS News, reported that Lt. Larry Dietz disclosed Lane's exact cause of death, saying it was caused by acute ethanol intoxication.

His ex-wife, Bobbie Brown, dropped a bombshell claim in 2020, saying that the late frontman was drugged and raped by a heavy metal musician and their manager early in his career.

In an interview with Fox News after releasing her book "Cherry On Top: Flirty, Forty-Something, And Funny As F**k," Brown said that Lane could have voiced his concern through the #MeToo movement if it was already existing prior to his death.

"At the moment that he admitted [he was drugged and raped by a famous heavy metal band member and their manager], it was devastating to hear. He admitted this to me before his death. It was traumatizing to watch him reveal those things and how much it had affected his life up to that point. When we were married I had no clue," she said.

The ex-wife also disclosed that it happened when Lane was just starting his career on the Strip.

Although she urged him to do something about it, Lane refused to do so since he thought it was a humiliation for a man to be in that kind of position.
