The thing that triggered the fatal shooting that led to PnB Rock's death has been assumed.

An ongoing investigation into the shooting incident that killed PnB Rock continues to determine what prompted the Monday attack. But on Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department released the initial findings regarding the murder case.

As reported by Los Angeles Times (via Yahoo! News), Los Angeles Police Chief Michel Moore said that the suspect appeared at the Roscoe's House of Chicken & Waffles restaurant in South Los Angeles as soon as the rapper was tagged online by his girlfriend, Stephanie Sibounheuang.

She shared a photo of their meal on the since-deleted Instagram Stories post, with the text showing their location.

"[PnB] was with his family - with his girlfriend or some kind of friend of his - and as they're there, enjoying a simple meal, [he] was brutally attacked by an individual who apparently [came] to the location after a social media posting," Moore said.

As of press time, the police are still looking into it to determine whether it truly led to the attack or not.

Despite that, Sibounheuang has already been suffering from it as she is being blamed for PnB Rock's death. She already deleted her Instagram after fans continuously attacked her on the platform.

PnB Rock's Last Moments Caught on CCTV

A law enforcement source disclosed that LAPD investigators are already examining the security video obtained from the restaurant. This would be used to identify the shooter and find out the rapper's last moments before his death.

The officers are also trying to capture any images of the shooter before fleeing the scene.

The yet-to-be-identified killer reportedly appeared in the restaurant moments after the girlfriend shared the post. It demanded jewelry and other things PnB had but struggled with the rapper.
