Taylor Swift, the queen of easter eggs, has spoken-no one will be sleeping tonight, not with TikTok announcing that Swift has something up her sleeve for fans to speculate regarding her forthcoming album, "Midnights.'

TikTok US shared some very cryptic news via Twitter on Sept. 20, "meet us at [Taylor Swift's] TikTok account at midnight ET. #SwiftTok"

With the announcement, fans are giddy and excited to have the next piece of the puzzle. Following a video of Swift sharing to her fans, whom she affectionately calls Swifties, that the back cover of her album resembles a clock when put all together, fans have already a couple of theories in mind. A fan noted that Swift might use the video-sharing platform, TikTok to prompt her album, which follows a theme of a clock. "Taylor's gonna use TikTok to promote 'Midnights' [because] it's what a clock sounds like."

While some fans were a little less enthusiastic about the news, mainly because of timezone differences and other reasons. A fan replied to the Tweet with, "please, can we do releases at 8:30 PM, I'm so sleepy."

Another fan replied, "better not be another vinyl."

'Meet me at Midnight'

Last Aug. 29, Swift announced that she will be releasing her tenth studio album, "Midnight," on Oct. 21. "This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face," she wrote. "For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching-hopong that just maybe when the clock strikes twelve... we'll meet ourselves." She further explained that the album will follow stories of 13 sleepless nights throughout her life. She ended her statement with, "meet me at midnight." Since then, Swift has dropped some other clues, or at least that's what the fans say, but mostly kept mum about the entire thing. The announcement from TikTok comes exactly a month before the album's drop. TikTok also shared the news on Instagram, but with a mysterious clip of an analog clock, the time flicking from 11:59 to 12:00.

According to Nylon, Swift might be roping some fellow artists and friends into collaborating with her for the album.

A name that has kept popping up was Lana Del Rey. A video that went viral on TikTok noted that Del Rey was credited as a co-writer and featured for a song entitled "Tossing Turning Ticking." Swift and jack Antonoff were also cited as writers for the song.

This fan theory might not be so off tangent, given that both Del Rey and Swift are friendly, and have both worked with Antonoff.
