Many fans were saddened after Mick Mars announced that he would be retiring from touring, and now his bandmates are speaking out about the matter as well as announcing his replacement guitarist; who could it be?

In a statement, the band collectively said they accept the legendary musician's decision to stop touring because of his health and they were the ones who witnessed his struggles with Ankylosing Spondylitis for many years.

"To say 'enough is enough' is the ultimate act of courage. Mick's sound helped define Mötley Crüe from the minute he plugged in his guitar at our very first rehearsal together," they shared. (via Variety)

For their next move in the years to come without their bandmate on tour, the group said they will continue to honor the guitarist's musical legacy.

Their upcoming tour in 2023 will push through and they finally found the perfect replacement, John 5, who has been long-rumored to fill in the spot for Mars.

"We are grateful that our good friend, John 5 has agreed to come on board and join us moving forward. We'll see all you Crüeheads out on the road!" they concluded.

On the other hand, John 5, who was a former guitarist for Marilyn Manson, also issued a statement, saying he's honored to carry on the musician's legacy and he's looking forward to playing the band's classic hits.

Mick Mars Retiring From Mötley Crüe After 41 Years of Performing

After years of speculation, Mick Mars' representatives have finally confirmed that he would be focusing on his health after playing for Motley Crue for more than four decades.

A spokesperson spoke for the outlet, saying the icon would no longer be a part of the band's upcoming tours. However, he will always be a member of the group.

The reason why he's retiring is because of his ongoing struggles with Ankylosing Spondylitis, a condition that primarily affects a person's spine and causes him to feel extreme pain.

Way before Motley Crue confirmed his replacement, many people have been speculating that John 5 would be his replacement as he hinted over the past months.

It all started when he was absent during Rob Zombie's performance at the Aftershock Festival. He also shared a photo of himself along with drummer Tommy Lee.
