According to Complex, the defendant, who pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of second-degree murder last year, agreed to testify against the three other suspects.

At the time, he noted that one of the defendants noticed a BMW parked outside the vehicle shop and told the three others that it belonged to the hip-hop artist.

Prosecutor Pascale Achille asked the defendant how Williams found out which car the rapper was using and noted that his pal got a picture on Instagram.

To assure that it was really XXXTentacion, Boatwright, and Newsome asked him to go inside RIVA Motorsports. Without knowing about the robbery plan, he agreed to check the rapper and confirmed that it was truly him accompanied by a Black male.

When Williams initiated the plan that they were going to rob the musician, Allen said he attempted to call Boatwright on his phone but he didn't answer.

The other man purchased a black masked then they later gathered in a vehicle. Allen told the other suspects that he didn't think it was a "good idea" to push their plans because he was concerned about the surveillance cameras around the area. (via The Shade Room)

Two others were also hesitant with the robbery, prompting Williams to ask them if they were "scared," to which Boatwright replied, "All right, we're gonna get [XXXTentacion]."

Newsome and Boatwright later agreed to get out of the vehicle to confront the rapper as Allen doesn't want to get involved with the crime and Williams was assigned as the getaway driver.

They later planned to block the "Jocelyn Flores" hitmaker using their vehicle then they waited for about 10 minutes before the rapper get into his vehicle along with the other man.

"As they're driving, coming out of RIVA Motorsports, Dedrick [Williams] blocks them off, and Michael Boatwright and Trayvon Newsome get out and rob them," he said from the witness stand.

Allen then noted that he witnessed Boatwright use a firearm pointing toward the hip-hop artist while the other one took the necklace. After taking a few items from the rapper like his Louis Vuitton bag, one of the suspects opened fire "two or three times." then they ran back to their getaway vehicle to take off.

The robbery and murder lasted for over three minutes.
