Is Adele's Las Vegas residency her last?

In between performances, during her recent performance at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, the "Rolling in the Deep" singer revealed that she, like everyone else, is struggling with health concerns.

"Is anyone else my age starting to getting bad knees?" Adele asked. "I have got really bad sciatica in my left leg and my L5 disc is not f**king there anymore. It's worn away,"

According to the Mayo Clinic's website, "sciatica refers to pain that travels along the path of the sciatic nerve."

"I've just got to get over to the other side of the stage. I have to waddle these days as I have really bad sciatica."

Sciatica can also cause one's leg to go numb, be inflamed, or in Adele's case, pain.

This injury may be caused by a herniated disk or an overgrowth of a bone that put pressure on the nerve; it can be pretty brutal and severe cases may need surgery.

According to NME, the singer's knee and leg problems might be associated with her L5 injury, as its associated nerve is responsible for "providing sensation" to a lot of areas in the leg like the outer leg, upper leg, the upper part of the foot, as well as the space between the first and second toe.

Spine Injury

This is not the first time Adele has spoken about her chronic back pain-in fact, she has been very candid and vocal about it, after all, she has suffered from it for most of her adult life.

During an interview several years back she said, "I've been in pain with my back for, like, half of my life, really. It flares up, normally due to stress or from a stupid bit of posture."

According to reports, her back pain began when she was 15 years old: "I was in bed and I sneezed and my fifth one flew out."

In 2021, she slipped another disk while she and her son Angelo were playing around.

She explained how Angelo jumped out and scared her, which ended up in a slipped L6 disk, it is located near the tailbone.

Despite the serious injuries Adele has sustained over the years, she continues to go about her days and perform sold-out shows.

"I definitely want more kids. I'm a homemaker and I'm a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music," she said.

"Right now, all I got in my brain is [my upcoming Las Vegas residency]. I wanna f***ing nail it."

As of this writing, there are no reports that the singer has undergone surgery to correct her spine or knee injuries.
