Despite being one of the oldest pop groups there is right now in the music scene, ABBA is at the forefront of technology - their "Voyage" concert in London is the first of its kind!
Given the possibilities where people could see them perform as if they were in prime back in the day, people have been hounding them to bring the intimate live concert experience to a bigger platform - perhaps the Glastonbury Festival!
ABBA Glastonbury Festival Performance Likely?
In an interview with NME, Bjorn Ulvaeus, one of the four members of the Swedish pop group dished out whether a Glastonbury performance could be in the works anytime soon.
Upfront, Ulvaeus was straightforward in his answer - he said that it is not possible, YET.
"It might be in the future. As it is, it's too complicated because the lighting, the sound, the visuals, everything is integrated and it's so complicated," he added.
This is because since the ABBA "Voyage" concert is one of its kind, with an entire stadium repurposed only to house the intricate, technologically complicated piece of art, it would be a huge leap for the production team and technology in general to transform it into a mobile location - specifically an open location such as the Glastonbury Festival.

However, this doesn't mean that the band has no plans to transport their show into different locations. In fact, it has been reported by Variety that the band will "virtually" tour around the world in various key cities.
Per Ulvaeus, building the set for the ABBA "Voyage" concert would take "at least two years to build," not to mention how expensive it is. He also revealed that announcements at the end of the year will be revealed as to where they will tour.
Given the fact that they could actually perform outside the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium, it also meant that they have to build the set for Glastonbury 2026 as early as now if an ABBA Glastonbury Festival performance would take place.
ABBA 'Voyage' Concert World Tour
Although it has been confirmed that the ABBA "Voyage" Concert tour will take place, information about it has been scarce.
For those who still do not know, the ABBA "Voyage" concert features the Swedish pop group on their 1977 selves as "ABBAtars" on stage. Singing their medley of hits as if they were actually performing onstage with a live band. A specific stage and concert experience is only being offered on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park Stadium, now commonly known as the ABBA Arena.
