Måneskin's Damiano David issued an apology and announcement after a video of himself making out with an unknown woman went viral on the Internet.
"I am very sorry this video came out, it was not how I wanted to handle the situation and it was my mistake," the Italian singer wrote in his statement.
He also confirmed his breakup with his longtime girlfriend, and his music muse, Giorgia Soleri some days back, claiming that there were "no betrayals of any kind."
"I hope this doesn't affect Giorgia's image and that you can respect the delicacy of this moment," he added.

Fans are going wild with the video of the frontman making out in a populated club. Not a lot of information came with the leaked video, however, there have been some fans who alleged that the woman is the best friend of Maneskin's bassist, Vic De Angelis.

According to reports, Maneskin's fandom is definitely not pleased with how the news turned up. After all, Soleri has been David's girlfriend for many years, and they have also formed a connection with her.
"Big yikes. He wrote so many love songs for her that I blindly believed they'd last against the odds. What a messy situation," a fan wrote on Reddit.
"Maybe he's writing all the love songs for the groupie," one theorized.
"I've always found him kind of douche-y, but this is a bit much. Take some responsibility. He should be embarrassed!"

They rose to prominence after placing second on in the Italian version of "X Factor" in 2017 and following their cover of "Beggin'" by The Four Seasons went viral online.
As per reports, the last time either of the ex-couple posted about each other was a month ago, which suggested that the break up had been very recent, as David wrote in his statement.
As of this writing, neither one has revealed the reason behind their breakup, but fans are genuinely concerned and devastated about it.
