Unbeknownst to many, Hoda Kotb and Shania Twain are close and dear friends. In fact, they text each other and tell each other stories almost everyday.

As Twain embarks on her "Queen of Me" Tour, she invited Hoda Kotb while at Madison Square Garden for a little chit chat.

Shania Twain Feels 'Freeier' Than Ever

In a conversation with Kotb backstage on her Madison Square Garden show, Twain opened up about how she felt "free-ier" than ever in her music career.

"I feel more appreciative now than ever in my career. I'm celebrating, loving my voice and the way I sing. It's very satisfying to me to be able to sing out and express myself through my voice again without any reservation and any fear," she shared.

As for what song she still is most fond of, Twain said it was still "You're Still The One" hits the spot.

 "The whole world has been through, vey recently, such an intense struggle. So coming out on the other side of that, we have [shown] that we're making it, against the odds. The song champions togetherness," she explained of the song.

After their chit-chat, Twain had the famed anchor trying on her clothes backstage, dressing her just for fun.

Shania Twain, Hoda Kotb Duet 'You're Still The One I Want'

Singing in front of a packed 20,000 crowd, Hoda Kotb appeared onstage with Twain. Unbeknownst to Twain, Kotb was there to present her RIAA Double Diamond certification for her record-breaking album, "Come On Over."

Shortly after, Twain also said that she would be releasing a 25-year anniversary album reissue.

"You guys are the first to know. I'm very excited about it. It's really amazing how music can go this full cycle and live through generations. And that's, of course, all because of you [and] thanks to you," she revealed.

Shortly after that, Twain invited Kotb to sing a few lines for a duet, they sang "You're Still The One" which send MSG to an uproar.

"It was just so incredibly moving and beautiful. It's like there are moments you dream about happening and friends you don't think you'll ever spend a moment like that with," Kotb said tearily backstage reflecting on the moment she shared with Twain.
