Anne-Marie intends to take "a little" vacation before releasing her next album.

The 32-year-old pop star has just released her third studio album, 'UNHEALTHY', and she admits that she requires a break from writing lyrics about "the same ex" from when she was a teenager.

On Apple Music 1, she said to Rebecca Judd that every time she releases an album, she immediately begins working on the next one, despite the fact that she feels the need to live a little. Otherwise, she'll continue to write about the same ex she has had since I was 18 years old. After these few weeks, she will relax and then determine who she will become in the future.

'UNHEALTHY' includes her collaboration of the same name with country icon Shania Twain, as well as 'PSYCHO' and 'You and I' with rapper Aitch and Khalid, respectively. And the '2002' singer confessed that she was surprised that the 'Man! I Feel Like a Woman!' singer, 57, agreed to appear on the song.

She shared: "Because everyone was saying she was really busy and stuff. And I was like, 'Yeah, yeah. They're just saying that to make me feel better.' But then she did. I was honestly over the moon and she was so great. When I met her, I was trying to be cool and she was screaming and so excited, which made me feel like I can just be a little weirdo as well. Just, yeah, totally great. And when I meet people like Shania and [Sir] Tom Jones and David Guetta who have been in the industry for so long ... I love the energy that they give off because they have done it for so long and they still love music so much. It's like they're not just over it. They just, they still love it. And she had that energy, so I loved it."

Anne-Marie, who has previously worked with Ed Sheeran and recorded at his Decoy studio in Suffolk, is a huge Eminem admirer and hopes her friend can arrange for her to record a song with the rap legend.

But she really should just relish how great this new album is doing before jumping onto another project.

According to Official Charts, less than 100 chart units presently separate UNHEALTHY and UTOPIA in the race for this week's Number 1 on the Official Albums Chart between Anne-Marie and Travis Scott. Anne-Marie's third studio album UNHEALTHY, which has already produced the Top 10 hit Psycho with Aitch (5) and recently earned a second Top 20 hit with the title track featuring Shania Twain (19), is currently in the lead for the top spot.

Anne-Marie should enjoy everything now though, as Travis's UTOPIA, his long-awaited follow-up to 2018's influential Astroworld, is hot on her heels.

In addition, three UTOPIA songs are expected to enter the Official Singles Chart Top 10 later this week. Both artists are vying for their first UK number-one album, and the contest is expected to come down to the wire. Anne-Marie has previously reached the Top 3 with 2018's Speak Your Mind (3) and 2021's Therapy (2), while Travis Scott has previously landed three Top 40 albums: 2015's Rodeo (22), 2016's Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight (19), and 2018's Astroworld (3). Meanwhile, Post Malone's fifth studio album AUSTIN is projected to debut at No. 3, making it his fifth UK Top 10 album, while Brummie pop-rock band Dexys (formerly Dexys Midnight Runners) could score their highest-charting LP since 1982 with sixth album The Feminine Divine, at No. 4 midweek.
