Harry Styles is reportedly under pressure to make significant changes to his Together, Together world tour stage setup following widespread fan complaints about obstructed sightlines and high travel expenses.
Per Radar Online, the 32-year-old singer kicked off his 67-date tour in Amsterdam, with shows concentrated in just seven cities, including 12 nights in London, 10 in Amsterdam, and 30 in New York City.
While the tour was designed to offer fans a unique concert experience with three 10-foot-high walkways circling the stadium floor and two curved bridges connecting venue sections, many concertgoers say the staging has hindered their ability to see the artist clearly.
Fans took to social media and review platforms to express frustration over sections of the stadium where views of Styles were partially or fully blocked by the walkways and bridges. Several attendees noted that tickets costing hundreds of dollars did not guarantee an unobstructed view.
A newspaper reviewer who attended the Amsterdam opening night described the stage design as disappointing, saying the bridges elevated Styles but also blocked him from view for large parts of the show.
An official tour spokesperson responded to complaints, stating the floor concept was intended to allow fans freedom of movement and varied perspectives rather than confining them to a fixed viewpoint.
"A small area of the staging in specific floor positions appears to have had a restricted sightline. Those areas are being reviewed carefully and adjusted where possible in compliance with all safety restrictions," the representative said as reported by AOL.
Sources close to the tour indicated that the artist's team is taking the criticism seriously, acknowledging that some aspects of the staging have not worked as intended. One insider said any possible adjustments would be explored but might require a "severe redesign" of the stage setup.
The concentrated tour schedule has also sparked backlash, as many fans have faced steep travel costs on top of high ticket prices. With tours only taking place in a handful of cities, people believe that this will put a tremendous amount of financial pressure on those fans because of flights, hotels, and other travel expenses that go along with attending concerts. The representative stressed the importance of keeping the fans happy and building trust with them.
The tour promoters are now trying to work out how they can make changes to ensure that the fans have an excellent time at one of the biggest tours that Styles has ever done.
