The death of Angus Cloud's father Conor Hickey on May 18 after a short cancer battle was so devastating for the star, that he couldn't even make it to the private ceremony for scattering his ashes.

Despite this, the 25-year-old "Euphoria" star still managed to travel with his mother and twin sisters to their ancestral 100-acre farm in Ireland, where they spread his father's remains.

The small ceremony was attended by several family members, though the actor elected to stay at a hotel approximately three miles from the property in Laurelstown, County Meath.

Angus reportedly remained in his room during the event.

Mick Gleeson, a family friend, described the trauma his friend was going through when speaking to the Daily Mail.

According to him, the man was in an extremely fragile state and unable to cope with the recent death of his father.

"He was just so traumatised that he could not attend."

Mick said it was like the man had been frozen, completely stunned by his grief.

Angus reportedly had felt the weight of being the new man of the household and it was just too much for him, as they saw when he arrived in Ireland.

It was said to be clear that coming back to his father's hometown had broken something within him.

"No one could blame him for feeling like his own life was ending at that moment."

Another friend commented on this tragically, saying they could understand why he would be so overwhelmed.

Following the cremation of his father's body in Oakland, Calif., Angus joined his family to release some of his ashes into the air. A memorial service was held near their home for friends and relatives alike to pay their respects.

Meanwhile, another pal confided to the Daily Mail, saying that returning to his dad's birthplace was too much for him. He wasn't able to confront saying farewell to his dad in the end.

The source said that Angus was hit incredibly hard by the knowledge that his life had ended, leaving those close to him feeling devastated. His aunt came to pick the celebrity up and drove him out to the farm, so he could lay his ashes there.

Additionally, people were aware of Angus' difficult battle with drugs which made this situation even more challenging for him.

As previously reported, the police were notified by Angus Cloud's mother of a possible overdose following her discovery of his body in his bedroom. Though an official autopsy has yet to be conducted, the tragedy is still fresh in the family's mind.
