What would you do if you're getting your usual coffee at a café then you suddenly see Ed Sheeran as the barista to serve you your favorite latte? This is what happened to some Seattle fans and residents as the singer made a big surprise at a Starbucks store; watch the viedeo below.

According to 106 Kiss FM, the singer became a barista for a day at a Starbucks store located at 102 Pike St. in Seattle, Washington.

The "Shape Of You" hitmaker had the honor to serve the first batch of Pumpkin Spice Lattes of this year's season as the drink only comes during autumn.

The reason why he teamed up with the famous café chain is to promote his upcoming album titled "Autumn Variations" and what better way to kick-off the season is to have your dose of pumpkin spice latte.

Ed Sheeran Becomes a Barista for a Day to Promote New Album

The musician shared his experience with his loyal followers on Instagram. He shared a video of what happened during that day and fans surely loved his heartwarming act.

"Thanks for having me @starbucks, if you gave me your name I gave you a new one, for I am the barista of joy," he wrote in the caption.

In the video, fans were seen lining up outside the cafe and they got their phones up just to have a glimpse of Ed Sheeran.

A quick rundown of the employees were also shown then the musician was seen wwearing the iconic green apron that Starbucks baristas typically wear.

He also interacted with fans by asking their name, but as a joke, he would write a different name on their cups.

Sheeran also tested his barista skills by making the coffee on his own.

Fans were visibly delighted by the singer's act as most of them could be seen laughing and smiling throughout the video.

Ed Sheeran New Album 2023

Ed Sheeran announced a big surprise for his fans as he revealed that he would release a new album this year. This would be the second time he would drop a musical project this 2023.

According to Variety, the new record is titled "Autumn Variations." In a statement, he revealed that he and his friends were going through many changes the previous autumn and after spending the summer, everything "calmed, settled, fell apart, came to a head or imploded."

His new album will be available for streaming and purchase starting on September 29, 2023.
