Fans never got the chance to hear more songs from John Lennon after his death in December 1980, but many knew that he had a lot of unreleased material that the world is waiting to hear.

More recently, several tapes recorded by the legendary singer himself as well as his Beatles bandmate are going up for auction and those who are going to be lucky will finally hear some of the singer's unearthed treasure. However, it will surely cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars.

According to Forbes, the Gotta Have Rock And Roll are currently holding an auction of six tapes which were all recorded separately and in different years.

The first one contains the never-before-heard rehearsals for their album "Sgt. Pepper" which was recorded from 1966 to 1967. Some fans would find it bizarre as there would also be animal sounds that the group used included in the tape.

George Harrison is the star of the second tape as he reportedly performed with another iconic musician, Jimmy Page. Fans should expect that some of the tracks included on the recording are not going to be familiar to them as they were never released.

Harrison appears on the third one again along with his Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band which has over 16 songs.

John Lennon Recordings Up For Auction

John Lennon will be the star of the fourth tape as it is said to include 45 minutes worth of conversation and interview about the Beatles.

In addition, the members also discussed Lennon's wife Yoko Ono's intentions for having a relationship with him. The late artist also opened up about personal things in life in the tape.

For the fifth tape, Yoko Ono recorded a lengthy scream therapy and she also talked about her personal relationship with her partner at the time including music, intimacy, as well as the legend's friendship with George Harrison.
