Needless to say, Britney Spears' controversial and sensational memoir, "The Woman In Me" has launched a global curiosity into what else the pop star suffered when she grew up in the spotlight and desensitized by the media and the public.

With the arrival of "The Woman In Me" a lot of production houses, producers, and directors, have expressed their interest in securing the rights of the said memoir to turn it into a movie.

Among those names were Margot Robbie, who now denies all the name drops.

Margot Robbie Denies Fighting For Britney Spears Memoir Rights

In an interview with Access Hollywood at the 2023 Variety Power of Women Los Angeles, Margot Robbie denied the claims that she is fighting for the rights of Britney Spears's "The Woman In Me" memoir rights for a movie.

"No, no, I'm just hearing that tonight. It's not true," she told the outlet. When asked if she would ever consider playing Britney in a film," she flat-out denied. "It's not true."

Page Six confirmed that sources told them that Robbie is one of the A-list celebrities gunning to get the project. Reese Witherspoon and Brad Pitt were also namedropped on the said tidbit.

However, "Grey's Anatomy" and "How To Get Away With Murder" creator Shonda Rhimes reportedly opted out of the project. Notably, Rhimes wrote Spears' 2002 movie "Crossroads."

"Shondaland is not pursuing this project," Rhimes' spokesperson told the outlet.

Britney Spears Memoir Into A Film, TV Series?

In the same Page Six report, an insider revealed that the plan is "only beginning to take shape."

Reportedly, The Ankler says that Spears has been overwhelmed with the success of the memoir sale that the industry's top studios are hounding them for the rights to her book to turn into either a film or a television series.

Spears apparently chickened out on a meeting with a top producer "at the last minute" because she "didn't feel up to it."

Aside from the television and or film deal, Britney Spears' memoir rights are being fished out right now with a $40 million value for a participatory documentary for the said sensational book.

As of this writing, Britney Spears has not yet publicly commented on the alleged sale.
