Billboard Music Awards 2023 was interesting to say the least.

Although Taylor Swift won ten golden microphones, including the top accolade of Top Artist, she was surpassed by controversial country music sensation Morgan Wallen, who took home eleven at the 2023 Billboard Music Awards on Sunday.

The 33-year-old pop megastar sent in a video message as she won multiple accolades.

After a tragedy, she made a moving comeback to the stage in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on her Eras Tour.

The star, who received 20 nominations that evening, remarked, "'Well, this is unreal. This is the fact, that you guys have given me ten Billboard Awards, I'm talking to the fans specifically, none of this happens without you."

"Billboards base everything off of what you are listening to, and what you're passionate about and I'm so honored that this year you made the tour, The Eras Tour, so magical."

She continued by expressing her gratitude to her Swifties for supporting her in all of her activities, including as watching her concert film and purchasing her remastered albums through downloads, streaming, and purchases.

"You went and saw the movie, you cared about my recordings. I just like, I love you so much. I feel like the luckiest person in the world to have you in my corner and caring about the music that I make. So thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you 10 million times, for this."

Along with Drake, Luke Combs, SZA, and Wallen, Taylor won the night's biggest award, Top Artist. The A-lister also won awards for Best Country Female Artist, Best Selling Song for Anti-Hero, Top Selling Artist, Top Billboard 200 Artist, Top Hot 100 Artist, Top Radio Songs Artist, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Billboard Global 200 Artist, and Top Billboard Global (excluding US) Artist.

Her ten victories tied Drake's record as the most-decorated artist in Billboard Music Awards history, making her the most honored woman of the evening.

Two years after being caught on camera uttering a racial slur, NFL player Travis Kelce's girlfriend was surpassed in achievement by Morgan Wallen, who went on to win 11 honors.

The 30-year-old country artist took home multiple honors, such as Top Hot 100 Artist and Top Male Artist. Wallen defeated Taylor in the Top Streaming Artist category, defeating her alongside Zach Bryan, Drake, and SZA.

Proudly holding his eleven gleaming new trophies, the Last Night hitmaker remarked, "Well, you know, like the song says "win some, you lose some." Last award show I went to we came home empty-handed and this one I don't have enough hands for them all."
