HAIM Plays With Kesha, Jenny Lewis, Ed Droste, Rostam Batmanglij
To commemorate the life of a late friend, Sammi Kane Kraft, Haim generated Sam Jam, a benefit concert in which all proceeds were given to the Our House Grief Support Center. Friends and family of the four-piece band joined them on stage to show support, such as Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear, Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend and Jenny Lewis. The Troubadour in Los Angeles hosted the charity concert for the close companion of Haim, who was tragically killed at just 20 years old by a drunk driver in 2012. Karen O Shares 'Day Go By' Music Vid [WATCH]
Yeah Yeah Yeahs singer Karen O has shared the music video for her song "Day Go By," which you can check out below. The Wiisa-directed clip follows two young lovers — neither of which are Karen O, it should be noted — as they go swimming and take bike rides together, shot in a grainy, sun-kissed style that basically looks like the music video equivalent of an Instagram post. It is very 2015 indie pop. -

Charli spends most of the performance singing and dancing from the top of Batmanglij's piano, offering quite a unique spin on what could have been just another typical late night performance. You can check out Charli XCX's performance of "Need Ur Luv" featuring Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij from "The Late Show with David Letterman" here — and notice how Letterman does not attempt to pronounce "Batmanglij": -

Charli XCX Shares 'Gold Coins' from 'Sucker' Album, Sings About the Good Life [LISTEN]
Charli XCX's fourth single from her upcoming second album "Sucker" is pop gold. "Gold Coins" blends machine gun guitars and noisy effects with the singer's sultry vocals for a superb result. XCX has been busy getting fans ready for the album, out Dec. 16, by previously releasing singles "Boom Clap," "London Queen" and "Break the Rules." As "SPIN" notes, "Gold Coins" is a little slower than "Boom Clap" but it is just as infectious. The song is a carefree love letter to the good life, which XCX is looking to claim with her sophomore release. "Gold coins everywhere / Dollars up in the air / It's a billionaire's love affair," she sings. "Gold coins out the window / Money falls like the rain falls / And I'mma spend it like I don't care." Check out the pop hit below. -
