Last month, Los Angeles rapper Ty Dolla $ign shared his Diplo-produced track, "Stand For," and today Diplo has shared a radical remix of the song featuring two of Brooklyn indie rock's biggest stars: Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear and Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend. The track has been re-titled "Long Way Home" and replaces Ty's verses with Droste's gorgeous vocals, as well as some other embellishments from Batmanglij. "[I]t's about time that indie rock acts started to co-opt rap beats!," Diplo said in the song's original Soundcloud description (via Pitchfork).

In an interview with Idolator back in July, Diplo discussed how much he enjoyed working with Ty Dolla $ign. "I've done a lot of stuff with [Ty Dolla $ign]. I love him," he said, "I literally found him and was like, 'Yo, I love your stuff. I want to try and progress what you're doing.' He's my favorite artist out of L.A. right now. He's real dope."

Ed Droste's most recent album with his band Grizzly Bear was Shields, released back in 2012, though his future plans for the band remain uncertain. "I never know exactly how we'll come together and make another album," he told The Guardian back in January, "because every single time has been different from the last. There is no formula."

Rostam Batmanglij's most recent album with his band Vampire Weekend was 2013's Modern Vampires of the City. Most recently, he's worked with Charli XCX on her new album Sucker, co-writing the songs "Die Tonight" and "Need Ur Love."
