Killer Mike spoke with Professor Cornell West, Senator Nina Turner and Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders to discuss Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy, which Mike says is more radical than most perceive. The panel discussed many aspects of the important Reverend and social activist's legacy, and the effects that his advocacy of civil rights has had on society today. Each participant had a unique vision of the iconic Doctor, and paid tribute respectively. However, Mike's perspective differed a bit from others on the panel and said that Dr. King was more about social justice than others thought. -

With so much controversy and uproar surrounding the former possibility of casting black actor Idris Elba in the role of James Bond, now the critics are speaking out against a new production where casting seems to be the exact opposite problem. A new stage play production, 'The Mountain Top', written by Kent State University playwright Katori Hall on the Martin Luther King Jr. story, has cast a white man to play the role of Dr. King. -

The nominees for the 87th Academy Awards will be announced on Jan. 15 and today, R&B singer John Legend has shared his Best Original Song hopeful -- "Glory" -- which will be featured in the upcoming Martin Luther King, Jr. drama, 'Selma.' The song features some socially conscious guest verses from Common, who references the recent unrest in Ferguson, Missouri, and joins the ever-growing list of artists to release tribute songs to Michael Brown. -
