Kid Cudi made another big step in his acting career with the new role he played in the film "James White," which was premiered during the second day of the Sundance Festival. His role during the film was different from what Scott Mescudi has done in the past, starring as the gay best friend of the protagonist, James White, who is played by Christopher Abbot ("Girls"). Playing that role, Kid Cudi had some scenes which forced him to broaden his horizons, including kissing a male friend played by David Call. The scenes were cut from the film and Cudi only found that out when he saw the premiere.
