Pop icon Dario G reflected on his health diagnosis months after learning he has an incurable illness.
The 1990s pop star first confirmed his stage 4 rectal cancer diagnosis in June, revealing that he was discussing the next steps with his doctors. Despite the dreaded illness, he keeps his head high and maintains a positive outlook to help himself fight the disease.
Dario G's Health Update
In an exclusive interview with Mirror Online, Dario G revealed that his life is now in "two-week cycles."
"I have chemotherapy every two weeks," he said. "On a Monday, I see my oncologist and have blood tests, on a Tuesday, I start my chemotherapy then I go home with a little bottle that has more chemotherapy in it so it slowly releases it."
From Monday to Thursday, he undergoes chemotherapy before the rest days on Friday and the weekend.
Per the musician, undergoing all those has been an emotional hole, but he only realized recently that it was caused by the steroids and chemicals in his body
"I'm a very positive person, but I thought it was me crying through sadness," he continued. "And it is but it's also a reaction to the steroids and to the chemicals, of using my body. So when you see this pattern, you start looking at it yourself from the outside looking in, you can see that oh, it's not me."
While fighting the disease, he revealed that the is also trying to live his life to the fullest as his cancer has no cure.
Aside from his medical treatments, he also receives counseling because mental health issues surfaced as soon as he was diagnosed with it.

His Cancer Battle Starts
Dario G's journey started in June when he shared on X his condition.
"Hard to write this. I've just found out that I've got stage 4 rectal cancer and a shadow on my liver," Spencer wrote. "That's damn hard to read too I'm sure. Gonna give it my best shot though. Stay positive, cos I am. Always. Seeing the doctors on Friday to discuss the next steps."
His fans left words of encouragement to let him know he is not alone in his battle.
One said, "Some unsolicited advice from someone who has stared into the abyss & is still fighting Stage 4 cancer. Keep going forward. One day at a time. And CANCER HATES JOY. Also, you pick your team. From medical to support teams. Keep the positive and supportive. Remove all negativity."
"Sending our love and strength," another added.
