In the most recent episode of their podcast, "New Heights," Travis Kelce shared an interesting anecdote about his girlfriend Taylor Swift's father, Scott Swift.

During a conversation about the singer's existing relationship with his coach, Andy Reid, he 34-year-old athlete playfully revealed the nickname he bestowed on his girlfriend's dad.

Playful Banter

Travis Kelce disclosed, "Obviously, we've already talked about how they kind of know each other from the Philly days. Scott Swift - shout-out to Big Scott. Him and Andy are good friends."

During a recent interview on the popular SiriusXM podcast "Let's Go!" with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gary, Coach mentioned Travis and Scott when discussing Taylor.

"I knew her before from Philadelphia. [Taylor's] dad [Scott] played at [University of] Delaware and was a big football fan and good guy. I had met him there, and her."

In Travis' podcast, he delved into a heartwarming anecdote about Coach Reid expressing affection towards Taylor.

It was a defining moment after the Chiefs emerged victorious against the Baltimore Ravens during the AFC Championship. Their hard-fought win secured their rightful spot in the highly anticipated Super Bowl.

Reflecting on the unforgettable moment, he fondly recalled being on the stage, passionately shouting the lyrics to "Fight for Your Right."

This particular memory reportedly held a special place in his heart.

According to Taylor's boyfriend, "It meant a lot because of the guys we had and how we persevered through many of the things we weren't doing during the season. It just felt that much better with those guys."

Skipping the Grammys

The absence of Travis Kelce at the 2024 Grammy Awards to show his support for Taylor Swift is a great disappointment shared by fans, including the man himself.

Recently, during an interview on "The Pat McAfee Show" on January 30, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs expressed his inability to attend the award ceremony on Sunday, February 4, in Los Angeles.

"I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award she's nominated for, but I think I got practice on Sunday," he explained.

"Or, I think Sunday's a travel day," the football star continued. "I know I got to practice on Saturday, but Sunday is a travel day. Unfortunately, I've got to get ready for this big old Super Bowl that we got in a week."

At the Grammys, Taylor Swift has received six nominations for her tenth studio album, "Midnights."

Despite not gracing the stage with a performance, the "Anti-Hero" singer will attend, as Entertainment Tonightconfirmed.

However, Taylor's time at the award show will be brief, as she has plans to embark on a journey to Tokyo, Japan to restart her "Eras" tour.
