Sam Smith and their fashion designer boyfriend Christian Cowan were spotted out and about New York City, seemingly debunking the breakup rumors that continue to float around the Internet.
According to the Daily Mail UK, the "I'm Not Here to Make Friends" hitmaker's relationship was put into question after several people saw them sign up for Raya, an exclusive, celebrity dating app a month ago.
However, it seems like all is well and great in paradise for the couple. Smith was seen walking arm in arm with Cowan; they were wearing long coats, along with a basic t-shirt, loose pants, and loafers.
Sam Smith Returns to Dating Apps?
Fans were shocked when the news of Smith making an account on Raya circulated the Internet, after all, it seemed like the couple were so good together.
A source even confirmed the breakup: "Sam and Christian decided to end their relationship before Christmas.
"They're still friends and will continue to support each other in their respective careers but for now they have separated," they added.
According to The Sun, the source noted that Smith simply wanted to "start fresh" for the New Years, and that there was no bitterness between them when the couple broke up.
Before dating Cowan, the "I'm Not The Only One" singer dated Brandon Flynn, who starred in Netflix's "13 Reasons Why." They dated for eight months before their eventual split in 2018.
Meanwhile, another source claimed that Smith's account in Raya is a fake: "Given there's a profile for them that exists on the app, there's a fear now that someone is impersonating Sam and they will be speaking to Raya about this."
"Sam and Christian are still very much in a relationship and they haven't been on Raya."

Aside from the two aforementioned men, Smith also dated several other people throughout the years.
"I've never really kind of played by the rule book. I love people and whoever I fall for, that's who I fall for. I don't know who that's going to be," the singer explained.
"Now I don't know what gender they will be, to be quite honest, and that's a freeing thing - to not be limited to one category of person. I just fall in love with whoever I fall in love with."
According to reports, the "Lonely Hour" hitmaker was linked to Francois Rocci, Jonathan Zeizel, Charlie King, Jay Camilleri, and Andy Newton Lee.
