In the update, a voiceover shared a message about pursuing happiness, saying, "You're going to realize that happiness was never about your job or your degree or being in a relationship."
The message continued, "Happiness was never about following in the footsteps of all of those who came before you. It was never about being like the others. One day, you're going to see it. That happiness was always about the discovery, the hope, the listening to your heart and following it wherever it chose to go."
The video also reminded everyone that happiness is always about one's self and that it should never be in the hands of others.
The last part of the video told the listeners that no external factors can define true happiness.
"A little something to motivate the heart. Hope you are all doing well. Lots of love, Duffy," Duffy captioned the post.
Fans immediately left heartfelt messages in the comments section and expressed how much they missed the singer.
Her comeback followed her since-deleted Instagram post in which Duffy disclosed the reason behind her 10-year break from music.
What Happened to Duffy?
In her February 2020 post, Duffy disclosed she went through a lot when she was drugged, rapped, kidnapped and taken hostage while she was overseas.
This led her to take a break and focus on her recovery, with the trauma taking time to subside.
"There's no light way to say it. But I can tell you in the last decade, the thousands and thousands of days I committed to wanting to feel the sunshine in my heart again, the sun does now shine," she went on.
Duffy also opened up about her experience in an April 2020 essay. She revealed that the incident happened while she was celebrating her birthday.
She did not disclose the name or a detail about the suspect.
