Now you can literally go to school on Taylor Swift at a Florida university and some other colleges around the country.

This fall, the University Miami is offering a strategic communication class called "Mastermind Taylor Swift Brand" and the class filled up much like the singer's recent dates on her Eras tour, according to the Miami Herald.

The 150-capacity class that's open to all majors was filled in four days; the outlet added. To accommodate more students, the university raised the capacity of the class to 175.

Alyse Lancaster, the vice dean for academic affairs for the University of Miami's School of Communication, came up with the idea with some inspiration from her family.

Her daughter Gabi helped come up with the idea while her son Sydney is responsible for designing the promotional poster that was displayed around campus.

"Taylor Swift has been a staple in my house since my now-17-year-old daughter was 4 years old," Lancaster explained in an email to the Miami Herald. "But it wasn't until we were able to purchase pre-sale tickets for the Eras Tour concert that things changed on my end. My daughter told me that I needed to learn all of the songs on the Eras Tour set list, plus most of Taylor's other songs - 'because you never know what the two surprise songs she will perform at the concert' and I need to be ready."

In preparation for the concert, Gabi made a playlist for her mother, which she listened to and studied closely.

"Then she and I went to see the Eras Tour movie and while watching this incredible woman perform for 3.5 hours straight, through nine eras of her music, interacting with her over-the-moon-excited, completely engaged audience, I finally understood what the big deal is," Lancaster told the outlet.

During a workout walk, while listening to Swift, Lancaster came up with the idea to teach a communication strategy class centered around Swift's brand and marketing.

This isn't the first time that Swift has been the focus of a university class. The University of Miami's School of Law had a seven-week class last fall called "Intellectual Property Law Through the Lens of Taylor Swift."

The University of Florida offered "Musical Storytelling With Taylor Swift and Other Iconic Female Artists" in spring 2024.

Last year, Stanford University also got into the Taylor business, offering "All Too Well (Ten Week Version," a class that analyzed Swift's 10-minute epic "All To Well," while also offering the class "The Last Great American Songwriter: Storytelling With Taylor Swift Through the Eras."

This spring, Harvard's Department of English has a course called "Taylor Swift and Her World," covering her "illicit affairs and hoaxes" as well as "champagne problems and incomplete closure."

Also, Boston's Berklee College of Music has a "Songs of Taylor Swift" course, that delves into her musical compositions and lyrics.

And that's not all, according to Best Colleges, Swift-themed classes are planned at Arizona State University, Brigham Young University, Houston's Rice University, the University of Delaware and the University of California, Berkeley.
