After reviewing one of Taylor Swift's earlier albums, Paste magazine declared that they had deleted the byline from their review of her album "The Tortured Poets Department" because of "threats of violence."

"Editor's Note: There is no byline on this review due to how, in 2019 when Paste reviewed 'Lover,' the writer was sent threats of violence from readers who disagreed with the work," the publication wrote via X Friday.

"We care more about the safety of our staff than a name attached to an article."

According to Page Six, the magazine's "TTPD" review, which questioned Swift's songwriting skills on her 11th studio album and read "Paste Staff" in the byline rather than the writer's name, was harsh on the singer once more.

The Grammy winner's recently released track, "Fortnight," featuring Post Malone, was also criticized harshly by the unnamed critic.

"Between producer Jack Antonoff's atrocious backing instrumental and the Y2K-era, teen dramedy echo chamber of a vocal harmony provided by out-of-place guest performer Post Malone, 'Fortnight' chokes on the vomit of its own opaqueness," the review stated.

The critic even said with the lyrics "I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary," Swift's writing needs improvement. "This is your songwriter of the century? Open the schools," the critic wrote.

The singer reportedly gave her "worst lyricism to date" on her most recent record, according to the critic.

The critic then asserted that the pop star seems to be "no longer feels challenged to be good," but recognized that "TTPD" will "not be a net loss" for her.

Paste is not the only outlet that released a negative review though. Many other outlets provided their honest feedback also.

It takes more than one listen to fairly assess Taylor Swift's "The Tortured Poet's Department," or TTPD, according to State News. " When I first heard the songs on TTPD, I was not impressed. As an avid "Folklore," "Evermore" and "Reputation" stan, I've been a bit underwhelmed by Swift's recent, sometimes oversaturated releases," the critic said.

The critic from the Guardian calls the album quite "immature."  Outkick said the album is a bust and the singer is said to have lost her sparkle.
