It's been a little over a year and a half since My Chemical Romance called it quits, but fans itching to get a fix of Gerard Way's voice now have a full album of relief. Today (Sept. 23), Way's debut solo album Hesitant Alien is now streaming in full, ahead of the album's Sept. 30 release date.
Way posted a full album stream link on his SoundCloud account in anticipation of the Hesitant Alien release.
Filled with '80s throwback calls in both music, visuals and even that 3D-esque album cover, Way's Hesitant Alien is a departure from the darker days of My Chemical Romance will maintaining the certain je ne sais quoi that always made Way so magnetizing as a performer.
Led by single "No Shows" and the teaser track "Action Cat," Hesitant Alien is filled with juicy hooks and plenty of angst-ridden yet accessible vocals from Way.
