The creepier FX's American Horror Story gets, the more accolades Jessica Lange rakes in. Her performance on last night's episode of Lana Del Rey's "Gods and Monsters" is bound to get the actress more praise, too.

For this season, Lange is the captivating leader of a freak show who occasionally sings tunes onstage. As SPIN points out, Lange's version of Rey's 2012 song is well-done and fits the show's tone perfectly. Unfortunately, the tune's big moment with the "f-word" is censored for television. Earlier in the season, the actress also performed David Bowie's "Life on Mars."

Lange has been a mainstay on AHS, which changes its plot, setting and most of its cast every season. She won an Emmy and Golden Globe for her role in the series's first season in 2012, and more recently she took the award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or Movie Emmy home for her work in the third season, American Horror Story: Coven.

FX recently renewed the show for a fifth season after 10 million viewers tuned in to the Season 4 premiere, Deadline reported.

"The American Horror Story anthology has had the highest growth trajectory of any show in FX history, not to mention an unprecedented track record of success in awards recognition," FX Networks CEO John Landgraf said about the renewal.

"With Nip/Tuck, Glee, The Normal Heart and American Horror Story, Ryan Murphy has established himself as one of the most successful and prolific producers of this generation," Landgraf added. "We expect AHS: Freak Show and the next incarnation of AHS to further his legacy."

AHS airs Wednesdays on FX.
