The War on Drugs is currently on fire with its new album Lost in the Dream, and last night (Oct. 31) the boys stopped by Conan to perform their dreamy third single "Burning."

The Philadelphia rock outfit's focal point is frontman Adam Granduciel's echo-y Bob Dylan vocals, and in the video below via Consequence of Sound, the singer absolutely steals the show. Then there's just the sheer force that comes from the group's ability to create a pulsing soundscape in a four-minute track. "So if you look, you'll find yourself / You're not the demon in the dark / That you and I, yea we'd been through that," Granduciel sings amdist an orchestra of synths and guitars.

Recently, TWOD has been in the news because of an ongoing feud with Sun Kil Moon's Mark Kozelek, who wasn't happy in September when his band's set at the Ottawa Folk Festival was interrupted by melodies coming from the stage where Granduciel and co. were performing. Kozelek made some tasteless remarks and even performed a fake song called "War on Drugs: Suck My C--ck," which actually became a real song.

Granduciel addressed the track a few days ago. "I mean, to be fair to that idiot, what he said in that song ... I didn't really have a problem with any of it until I heard the song," he said. "First of all, he never met us, and yet said all these things. He's such a douche."

Kozelek responded with another track titled "Adam Granofsky Blues," referring to Granduciel's real name.
