Sam Smith may be one of the biggest names in pop coming in to 2015, but don't assume that the "I'm Not The Only One" singer is necessarily a fan of all of his contemporaries. In a new interview with Chaka Khan in "The Music Issue" of V Magazine, Smith calls out his fellow pop stars for not always being wholly graceful in the midst of their success.

Speaking candidly to the legendary Khan, Smith reveals that some of his fellow pop stars are blatantly "awful," even without reaching major levels of success. But don't expect him to spill on exactly who he's speaking about.

"Even when you meet them-I won't name names-but some of these pop stars are just awful," Smith said. "And they have not even had half the success that you've had and yet you're so humble and kind."

The interview then turned into a proper conversation, with Smith and Khan trading off talk about connecting with people and eventually vowing to work together.

"Well, it's people skills," Khan said about being humble. "Talking to a screen all day long takes the human experience out. Luckily I grew up in a time when we only had a telephone at home."

We are definitely going to write a song together," Khan said to Smith, inciting a love fest and bringing Mary J. Blige into the conversation.

"100 percent. I'm in," Smith said. "I was actually thinking me, you, and Mary would do something."

Now, we can't wait for that collaboration!
