Just a year away from the universally critically acclaimed album Benji, Mark Kozelek, a.k.a. Sun Kil Moon is already prepping a new release. Today (Feb. 19), the "Carissa" singer announced that he will be dropping a new album this spring, entitled Universal Themes.

The new Sun Kil Moon album will be released on June 2, according to Pitchfork, via Caldo Verde Records.

The new album is a snappy eight tracks long, though it's not without some lengthy song titles. Tracks include the interestingly titled "With a Sort of Grace I Walked to the Bathroom to Cry," "Cry Me a River Williamsburg Sleeve Tattoo Blues" and "This is My First day and I'm Indian and I Work at a Gas Station."

Universal Themes kicks off with the previously released track "The Possum."
