Single mother Kimberly Henderson took the Internet by storm when she shared a video on YouTube of her singing her daughter Vaida a lullaby cover of Sam Smith's version of Whitney Houston's "How Will I Know" in December. The clip has since amassed more than 2.6 million views. After the video went viral, Cosco Kids reached out to the South Carolina mother and offered her opportunity to write and record an original single on an all-expenses paid trip to Los Angeles. Henderson teamed up with BREAK Entertainment songwriters Jay Levine and Sophie Dupin to write and record "Tiny Hearts," which they completed in less than 24 hours.

Despite her current success, Henderson's music career has been a long time coming. She auditioned for American Idol three times but never made it on the show.

"They have good things to say. They just said, 'You have a really unique voice, we think you're good, but it's just not your time yet,'" she told WGN Morning News. "So I'm guessing maybe now it's my time."

Speaking to the Huffington Post about what this experience has taught her, she said she learned that "It doesn't matter if you're a single mom working two to three jobs. If you're also a singer or painter or love to write, you should always try to make time for that. It's not selfish. It teaches your kids that no matter how many obstacles you come across, you can still go after your dreams."

She also told them that she hopes the song will help her find her own estranged mother, who disappeared when she was only 11 years old.

"I don't know where she is," the singer said, adding, "But I keep thinking that maybe if she somehow sees my video or my new song, she'll come forward and try to reach out."
