Music Times reported on Tuesday that rumors of a new Clipse album were thick. Member Pusha T confirmed via social media on Friday that the gossip was true

"It's coming," was the simple message posted on Pusha's Twitter account Friday. The message came with a link to a story at KarenCivil.com, the original source that had posted a Clipse reunion album was on the way. The original story featured photos posted by Pusha featuring Neptunes members Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo, which were claimed to be part of a new record from the Virginia Beach duo.

Although the pair's most recent album wasn't that far back (Til The Casket Drops in 2009), the announcement is exciting because recent events made it seem unlikely that the Thornton brothers would ever record together again. No Malice announced that he was finished with secular music, although he released a great Christian hip-hop album during 2013. Pusha even made a facial appearance in a music video for his brother, but demonstrated his commitment to hustle-rap via his acclaimed solo debut My Name Is My Name. Apparently the pair were able to find common ground, and we look forward to the release (during 2014...Lord willin'.)

One possibility that no one's addressed yet is the possibility of a Clipse live reunion. The pair's chemistry is best experienced in the live setting, and 2014 has gotten off to a quick start in terms of reuniting hip-hop duos. Outkast's announced appearances for Coachella and Governor's Ball led the tickets for the former to sell out in record time.
