Yesterday was the 50th anniversary of The Beatles' U.S. debut performance on the Ed Sullivan Show. To celebrate the event and its influence on music and popular culture thereafter, CBS aired The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles. The concert was filmed on January 27 after the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles, but was saved to be broadcast at 8 p.m. last night — the exact, up-to-the-minute anniversary of the Fab Four's performance.

Modern acts, including Dave Grohl, Stevie Wonder, Katy Perry, Gary Clark Jr., Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, Imagine Dragons, John Mayer, Keith Urban, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Pharrell Williams, Brad Paisley and more, paid tribute to the iconic band. The night also featured a performance from the reunited Eurythmics (Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart) as well as a joint performance from Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.
