That 1970s ARP classic, the Odyssey, will get a "faithful" reboot by the company this fall, and that leaves us techies on the edge of our laptops.

Originally released in 1972, the ARP phenomenon struck a chord with electro-geeks around the globe, offering a new musical landscape for musicians so inclined.

And now, Korg and ARP will team up for a re-release of the vaunted analog synth set for later this year.

After a re-installment of the famous MS-20, Korg is certainly trying to stay in the rap gear game.

For the new synth, Korg has brought David Friend, designer of the original, on board as chief advisor to the project.
